Description

A buffer resists pH change when small amounts of acid or base are added. The Henderson-Hasselbalch equation relates pH, pKa, and the ratio of conjugate base (A⁻) to weak acid (HA): pH = pKa + log₁₀([A⁻]/[HA]).
